2ND LADY CHARGES PARENTS TO SUPPORT AND SUPERVISE THEIR WARDS EDUCATION

The 2nd Lady of the Republic of Ghana Samira Bawumia has charged parents in the country to support and supervise the academic performances of their wards.

According to Mrs. Bawumia, Many parents are interested in pumping money in their own personal business and purchasing of funeral clothes amongst other things which may not benefit their wards in future.

The 2nd Lady who doubles as the Director for Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Project, Hajia Samira Bawumia has respectively called on parents to have the passion to supervise and invest in their wards education for they are their future leaders.

Many parents do not know the academic performance their children, do not care for things their wards may use in school, for which she described as total irresponsibilities.

Hajia Samira Bawumia made this pronouncement to the media at Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region when her foundation financially supported teachers who have been selected to go through an orientation to supervise this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination BECE.

She has therefore charged teachers to also love their work encourage the children to learn.

Moreover, the Central Regional Director for Education Emmanuel Essuman says Mfantseman has over the years recorded low BECE results for the this the children have been prepared very well to face their final exams with the help of Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Project.
