Kwahu Besease Resident cries over lact of Electricity
E/R: “OUR COMMUNITY IS NOW A DESERTED PLACE, OCCUPIED BY ONLY THE AGED AND CHILDREN DUE TO ABSENCE OF ELECTRICITY”. School pupils, community leaders of Kwahu Obomeng Besease appeal to govt’s intervention.
Residents of Kwahu Obomeng Besease in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region, are calling on the government to urgently intervene and connect them to the national electrification grid in order to make life bearable for them.
According to the residents who are mostly school pupils and the aged, their community (Kwahu Obomeng Besease) can now be described as a deserted place because no socio economic activity happens there. The community is always a dark place with no craftsmanship or skills training shops to train their youth because of the absence of electricity thereby, forcing all the youth of the community to relocate to the cities to find greener pastures.
Some school children who could not hide their plights living and schooling in such a community with no electricity, spoke to our community watch reporter, Yaa Yeboah Boamah and lamented their challenges this way.
