SEKONDI: Market Women Worried As Wind Unroofed Shelter
Some Market Women are worried as the wind unroofed a building where they perform their daily business activities within the Sekondi Market in the Western Region.
Speaking to the media, they have previously been replacing the roofing sheets whenever the wind blows off the building, although the assembly collects daily ticket funds from them.
They are therefore awaiting the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly to help them with roofing sheets.
An old woman who engages in charcoal selling indicated that the collection of ticket funds is being done by the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly from Monday to Saturday, excluding Sunday.
They indicated that thieves have taken advantage of the current situation and stealing the fish that they have kept in deep freezers inside the unroofed building.
